Two numbers from a dream turned a Sarawak renovation contractor into a millionaire! The 54-year-old won RM10,169,557.55 in the Toto 4D Jackpot 1 draw on September 26 with the combination 8622 and 5765. Remarkably, it was only his second time betting on the pair.
According to China Press, the father of two has been playing Sports Toto games for more than 30 years. He typically spends around RM50 a week, with the growing jackpot providing an incentive to participate.
Dream-Inspired 4D Numbers Deliver on His Second Attempt
The winning numbers did not come from a car registration plate or a birthday. The contractor said he encountered 8622 and 5765 in a dream and subsequently began betting on the combination.
He never expected his second attempt with the pair to bring such a substantial prize. Even after winning, he found the outcome difficult to believe. The dream and his decision to play the numbers again became the defining moments of his jackpot story.
Lunch Near a Worksite Led to Another Ticket
On the day of the winning draw, the contractor was having lunch near one of his renovation projects when he noticed a Sports Toto outlet next to the restaurant. He decided to place another bet on the same combination.
He recalled that it was a spontaneous decision, without much thought at the time. That evening, he checked the results on the Sports Toto website and discovered that he had won the jackpot.
Despite the life-changing sum, his reaction was surprisingly calm. Rather than spending the night too excited to sleep, he was able to rest peacefully.
System 4 Entry Adds RM672 in Other Prizes
His System 4 entry also earned him RM672 in additional prizes. Combined with the RM10,169,557.55 jackpot, his total winnings came to RM10,170,229.55—approximately RM10.17 million.
The contractor has yet to make any major decisions about the money. For now, he intends to keep it safe and set aside a portion for his two children’s future, taking time to plan before making any significant commitments.
From dreaming of 8622 and 5765 to winning a multimillion-ringgit jackpot on his second attempt with the combination, the Sarawak father’s experience adds another memorable chapter to Malaysia’s 4D winner stories.
